Dreamtoons
Sample dreams from Jesse Reklaw's Dreamtoons, 2000, Shambhala Press. Its short dream-comics were themselves a sample of his online comic Slow Wave (www.slowwave.com) in which readers submit dreams for him to draw. The format is short--the traditional four-panel gag strip of newspaper comics--necessarily limiting what can be said. As a result, most are surreal, funny or both; there's just no room for shamanic voyages, epic dramas or transcendent visions. Still, they're an encouraging, inclusive intro to the fun side of dreamwork... and dream-art.
