Marvin, Crash
Dreamed early Feb 1974 by Rick Veitch
RICK'S NOTES
Another predictive dream. Those three guys in the smashed up car were from my gang of homies; kids I grew up with and was still close to. In the dream, I show them how to enter my incredible pad "paid for from my work as a graphic artist" by climbing a rope hand over hand. Here it's demonstrated that I need to use my strength more efficiently to pull myself up into a life as a professional artist.
In the dream, Evel Knievel, the stunt-jumping biker, comes flying through the sky and loses control.
Ten years later, the friend who is seen catching him died when he lost control of his Corvette at high speed. I heard he was thrown over a hundred feet from the wreck.
EDITOR'S AFTERNOTE
I see this as a warning dream, all right, but while the synchronicity about Marvin is eerie in hindsight, it was useless as a warning. But the dream has other warnings, clearer ones that Rick doesn't discuss.
