Dreamed before 1995 by Rick Veitch
EDITOR'S NOTE
This isn't just a dream-comic of a war story that engenders dream-comics. It's a picture of the shamanic process. Tony, at the end, cut off from the world, starts dreaming--and drawing his dream-art. Shamans for millennia have known that severe isolation and stress, even serious illness, are usually needed to tear open the box of conventional thinking and feeling. At the end, betrayed, imprisoned Tony, standing in for Rick the dreamer, is groping toward becoming a dream-shaman.
