Bear Lady
Dreamed c.1981 by Rachael Dutton
EDITOR'S NOTE
In November 1981 I went to a slideshow by dream-artist Rachael Dutton. Among the paintings she showed were these four panels, which can be swapped around so the Bear Lady becomes fully Bear, or somewhat more Bare, or topheavy or bottomheavy mixtures of Bear and Bare, as here...
SOURCE: personal journal plus illustration from Dreamworks: an Interdisciplinary Quarterly (v.5, no.3/4, 1988, p.161-4). DIQ dates the piece 1982, yet I definitely saw it in 1981. Sadly, I've been unable to find a full-color photo.
