EMILY DICKINSON
My dreams borrow a lot of metaphors and lines from Dickinson, possibly because I too am shy and intense and stay home a lot. Or because I wanna be a gnomic poet, loved by a sensitive elite, ignored by hordes of bewildered yahoos. Don't ask me--I just dream 'em.
There's one dream-poem by Emily Dickinson: The Worm.
There's also one dream, a favorite of mine, Lily Oxygen, in which I was Emily--reincarnated in the late 21st Century!
