TAROT: DEATH
(Resurrection): Tarot card, 3x5", summer 1979? by Chris Wayan
So you die.
And to your secular surprise, your soul or psyche (which does after all mean butterfly) gets wings, if not what you expected, and meet other spirits, if not who you expected...
So there you are, butterflying amid all the others--rabbits, lawyers, Volkswagens.
The Tarot, in all its variants, has always considered death a positive card: a card of deep change.
I've merged it, in a way, with the JUDGMENT card--the day when souls escape their coffins.
Starting with their conceptual coffins.
