Revelation
Dreamed before 2023 by Roz Chast
EDITOR'S NOTE
In the average dream, the active parts of the brain process sight, sound and motor; basically a movie plus some basic kinetic awareness. I've read researchers claiming taste and smell are never active. Yet I have smelly, tasty dreams on occasion. And so do most dreamers who've published booklength dream journals--including Roz Chast. Dreams vary, and sample size matters.
