MAKING PROGRESS STANDING STILL
Dreamed 1990/10/1 by Chris Wayan
Sexism learned in childhood sure is persistent--even if it's reverse sexism. I don't like over-valuing women's rights and thoughts, or devaluing men's, but the little demons in this piece are still with me.
When I drew this in 1990, screens were lower-resolution, so text looked jaggier but LARGER. I swear, back then the print wasn't microscopic! Here it is magnified.
The little demons in this piece are always with me. But NOT always victorious. You CAN make progress, just standing still.
Because Chris on the Escalator never lies.
