Don't Cry, it's Only a Dream
Dreamed before 1961 by a Massachusetts mother as reported to the Rhine Institute
A woman in Massachusetts was in the hospital to have a baby. Three hours after the birth she awoke suddenly, as she says,
covered with perspiration and tears after having dreamed that my brother was in the hospital following a serious automobile accident. In the dream a doctor came to my husband and me and told us my brother would not live.At that point I awoke and could not sleep again for two days. I thought constantly of the dream while in the hospital and could hardly wait to see my mother to tell her about it and advise her to be more kindly toward my brother than she had in the past, because I realized from that dream what sorrow we would have if anything serious ever happened to him.
When I was out of the hospital and got home, the first thing I did was tell my mother about the dream; and as I was telling her, the tears were streaming down her face. I said, 'Well, don't cry, it's only a dream,' and then they told me that it was true and my brother had been in a serious accident and had been in he hospital for almost a month, in and out of comas, and still was. He was suffering skull, neck and spinal injuries and was delirious most of the time, raving like a madman.
They had told me nothing about it previously because I was going to have the baby and they didn't want to upset me. (We live in towns 125 miles apart.) It was one of the strangest things that ever happened to me.
