BOXES, or, THE THRILL OF DRAWING

My drawing teacher set up a heap of boxes to show us perspective. I felt it'd be more challenging to draw the bigger heap around me--the tables, my classmates, the school, our ways of seeing... kind of sad and empty inside all those boxes.

Time to recycle. Or at least stomp them flat.

(But appearances can deceive. My drawing teacher turned out not to have her head in a box at all. She's a serious dream artist--check out Jenny Badger Sultan!)
